Halcyon Ornamental Plasterers Ltd was formed in 1983 as a family-run specialist plastering company. After taking on some apprentices, our company has grown over the subsequent decades to become one of the finest ornamental plastering companies in the UK.
Always looking for talented tradespeople to join our team, our plastering company has trained many fine craftspeople over the years.
Over the years, we were continuously asked to carry out other building work and after moving to larger premises in Rutherglen, Glasgow, we expanded our company again. We were receiving so many requests from repeat customers, loss adjusters, architects, surveyors, and private individuals to carry out multi-trade work that it made sense to branch out with a sister company, which is why we formed Halcyon Reinstatement Services Ltd.

I live in a Victorian House, can you replace a missing section of the original cornice?Yes we do, we can match, repair or completely replace any cornice exactly as original.

The cornice in my lounge is in poor condition with sections missing. Can you fit new cornice over existing cornice?Yes, sometimes it’s more economical to fit one of our larger cornices over an existing cornice, rather than repair the original. Depending on the cornice chosen and the profile of the existing cornice, we may have to trim the celling or wall members of the original cornice. Please contact us for a FREE survey and quotation.

Do you offer a supply only service?Yes, we have a vast range of stock mouldings, cornices, centre pieces, panel mouldings etc. Please visit our show room or you can find them virtually on our site under ‘shop’.

Do you deliver?Yes. We offer FREE delivery within 20 miles of our workshop in Rutherglen, Glasgow. Please call us for a delivery cost out with the Glasgow area and we can supply you with a cost, we deliver countrywide.

Can you supply only a piece of original cornice?Yes, if you bring a sample to the workshop we can replicate the mouldings for you, the price is dependent on the complexity of the process.

I have had water damage in my property. My ceiling and cornice are damaged, can you help?Yes, we carry out work for many large insurance companies and offer a FREE survey and estimate to carry out all concepts of reinstatement work following water, fire or accidental damage to your ceiling. We also employ first class decorators; this means we can give you an estimate for all works required to get your property back to its best.

Can you supply and fit a totally bespoke cornice?Yes, we can work from your design or photographs. We can help you create something completely unique. On many occasions customers come to our workshop and choose pieces of original ornamentation from the many period samples we have in our workshop. From there we create a ‘new’ original design we then cost the new cornices and supply and fit same. Alternatively, we can engage with a sculptor to create a truly original piece of ornament, we then form moulds and replicate the original piece to form new beautiful fully bespoke cornicing.

I see you work in beautiful mansions, castles etc. I live in a tenement flat do you undertake smaller jobs?Absolutely, everyone’s home is their castle. Every job that we carry out is done to the highest standard whether it’s a cathedral or bathroom in a tenement flat. Every job is important to us and we try to be as competitive as possible with our prices no matter the size of the job.
